Hi Lincoln Elementary!
Here is a map that shows where I am in Louisiana--just below Lake Ponchartrain. This is the lake that caused a lot of the flood damage during Hurricane Katrina.
This picture shows how high the water was for a long time after the flood. See how the gate is rusted about half way up! This gate is in the yard of the house I am working on.
This is a picture of the neighborhood where I am working. You can see how the hurricane took off the roof. In the background is another house that is also empty because no one has come to fix it yet.
Today I worked on sanding drywall in the house. I have to wear a mask to keep myself safe.
